Tantus Mini Magma

  • Diameter: slightly under 1 inch at widest point

  • Length: 4.3 inches insertable

  • First Impressions rating: 5/5

I’ve wanted this dildo for the longest time! I just adore that drippy texture. It comes in a more “average” sized version as well, which is just called the Magma (instead of the Mini Magma). For the record, these two products used to be called the Splish and Splash (how cute!) and came in a beautiful silver/purple blend silicon.

In terms of how this toy feels to use, think Tantus Compact but with a more satisfying and substantial feel, especially in the head. It’s a similar size and shape and the head is even made of exactly the same kind of silicone, but the head and most of the shaft are a little girthier, and a lot more textured. The drips are glossy while the base is a pebbled but silky feeling matte silicone; this provides interesting stimulation because the sensations vary as you thrust it in and out.

Inserted just an inch or two and jiggled back and forth, it feels amazing against the G-spot. Thrust all the way in (this is one of the few toys short enough for me to do that) it stimulates the A-spot deliciously. It’s not often I find a toy that does double duty for these internal erogenous zones so perfectly. Maybe it owes this to the flexibility at the base of the shaft (where the silicone is thinnest and floppiest) and the textured head, but honestly I don’t know. It’s magic. Tantus magic.

If you enjoyed the Compact (or really any smooth toy with a girth 1 inch or under) and are ready to level up to something a little more intense, the Mini Magma is perfect. I’m beginning to come to the conclusion that my favorite type internal stimulation is “small but highly textured” and toys with a narrow girth that also have interesting texture are very hard to come by, so the Mini Magma is really a special find.

Vixen Creations Small Bent

  • Diameter: 1.1 inches at widest point

  • Length: 4.5 inches insertable

You might have heard of the Vixskin Spur. This is exactly the same product, but in single density silicone. I also happen to have one of Vixen’s Vixskin products and can confirm that the differences between the Vixskin and the single density material are subtle. Compared to their dual density silicone, the head is much less squishy, and the whole toy is more flexible because it doesn’t have a firm core. The surface still has a lovely realistic texture that feels like Vixskin, just a bit firmer - for those not familiar, it’s sort of sticky/tacky, and clings to your fingers. I think the single density makes the toy easier to insert for someone like me with very tight pelvic muscles.

In typical Vixen Creations fashion, this toy is hyper-realistic and has loads of detail (if you want more realistic skin tones, however, you’ll need to get the dual-density version: this one only comes in purple and pure black). The toy has a pronounced crown and foreskin, and you can really feel these two ridges when thrusting. Together with the texture of the silicone this provides loads of sensation, but also creates a lot of friction so I recommend lubrication!

I was worried about the girth of this toy, because anything above 1 inch can be challenging for me, and manufacturer’s measurements aren’t always accurate. Thankfully, the toy feels smaller than it looks thanks to the squishiness. It’s larger in diameter than my beloved Tantus Silk Medium but feels about the same size, which is ideal for me.

This dildo has a suction cup base, which I’m looking forward to trying out. I usually have trouble riding dildos and end up in pain but the squishiness of this one has me hopeful.

The fancy silicone really makes this toy feel realistic. I enjoyed slow, deep thrusts to fully experience the texture, feel my pelvic muscles contract around the squish and stimulate my A-spot. Thrusting fast with it feels good if I’m really warmed up, but I found it irritating when the ridges were rubbing back and forth very fast, so I’ve decided this is a toy to luxuriate in.
